Just Keep Writing

–That’s all I can do right now while I’m waiting for reviews and edits on my paranormal series. Even writing is becoming difficult right now, as much as I’d love to keep my creative juices flowing. The carpel tunnel in my hands keeps me from being able to do much of anything right now as I wait to have my first little boy in the next week. Once I’m on a routine again, I’ll start posting more on my blogs, doing more book reviews, and hopefully get my book published! Until then, I’m still reading a lot, so keep those book review requests coming!

While I’m waiting to finish my paranormal book, I have already started working on a science fiction/apocalyptic type series. This is really exciting for me because it’s not something I normally follow. Science Fiction is a genre I’m not very use to, which makes this a fun and difficult challenge. I’ve had multiple authors say, “write what you know,” but they also say, “don’t write the same genre that you read…” and so-on. There’s a lot of conflicting advice out there, but I’m learning to just get everything down on paper and run with it! I still do a little research when writing, but for the most part I’ve learned to just sit down and stare at the blank screen. It’s working.

The hardest part of writing for me is character names. Yeah. I don’t know why. I thought choosing a name for my first born child was hard, but coming up with the perfect character name for a strong lead is tough!

That’s all the updates I have for this week. I have posted a few new book reviews that you can check out, but I’ll be signing off for a couple days until after this baby is born! Wish me luck!
